Another Law of Economics

Just remembered it: The strength of a country's economy can be interpreted from the local Coca-Cola bottles. Rich countries have plastic bottles, or sometimes single-use glass bottles. Poorer countries use recycled glass bottles with pop tops rather than screw tops. In the poorest countries, the vendor will often decant the liquid into another container (I have even been given a plastic bag with a straw!!!), to ensure they keep the bottle (or will charge extra!).

On a related note, it is interesting that even though the Coca-Cola bottle is a significant part of their very well promoted image, it is not a standard shape all over the world. While the basic female figure is the same, in some countries it is tall & thin, others it is short & wide, & all sorts of variations inbetween. Maybe this reflects the local cultures preference for the female form!
